Marissa Rauch has been photographing children and families professionally for the last 10 years.
She discovered her passion for photography early in the life when her parents gifted her with a photographic enlarger for Christmas. Later, photographing friends children as a hobby turned into a full time job as a photographer.A mother herself now, Marissa finds her own daughter Daniela a very capable helper when she is along on photo shoots. Marissa works out of her Washington, DC studio and on location. Summers bring work in the Delaware beaches, the Eastern Shore, Nantucket, Newport and the Hamptons. She will travel anywhere on request.
Marissa’s style is personal in both her family and professional portraiture. Her patience and humor open up even the most closed subject. Her goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone’s inner child will be revealed and these moments captured. She strives to capture nuance, showing the subjects body language, emotion and joy. It is important for the children to have fun.
